Code of conduct

Our goal is to maintain and fun and safe environment. Participants and spectators are excepted to follow the following code of conduct

Sportsmanship:

* Display good sportsmanship at all times.

* Respect other players, tournament officials, and spectators.

* Avoid unsportsmanlike behavior such as taunting, trash-talking, or disrupting other players.

1. Equipment:

* Handle consoles, machines, and controllers with care.

* Do not shake, tilt, or abuse equipment beyond it intended use excessively.

* Report any machine malfunctions to tournament officials immediately.

2. Etiquette:

* Wait for your turn patiently and do not interfere with players who are currently playing.

* Keep noise levels down around the machines to avoid distracting players.

* Refrain from coaching or giving advice to players during their games.

3. Cheating:

* Any form of cheating, such as altering the machine settings or intentionally causing malfunctions, is strictly prohibited.

* Players caught cheating will be disqualified from the tournament.

4. Personal Conduct:

* Maintain a respectful and courteous demeanor towards everyone at the event.

* Follow any additional rules or guidelines provided by the tournament organizers.

5. Disputes and Rulings:

* Respect the decisions made by tournament officials.

* The tournament manager (usually the bartender) Has final say in all disputes.

* If you have a dispute or question about a ruling, address it calmly and respectfully with the officials.

* Do not argue or create a scene over a ruling.

6. Alcohol and Substances:

* If alcohol is served, consume it responsibly.

* Avoid excessive drinking or intoxication.

* The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.

7. Participation:

* Arrive on time for your scheduled matches.

* Inform officials if you need to leave the venue temporarily.

* Do not forfeit matches without a valid reason.

8. Prize Claims:

* Claim any prizes or awards in a timely and respectful manner.

* Follow any procedures set by the organizers for prize distribution.

  • Version: Console will be specified in the Facebook Event and on the Events page on our website. Tournaments will be played on the Switch or N64

    Controllers: We will provided standard controllers for the N64 and pro controllers for the switch. Racers are welcome to bring their own controller.

    Tournament Format: Format will be specified in the Facebook Event and on the Events page on our website.

    * 6 or less racers - Single Elimination: Players are eliminated after one loss.

    * Double Elimination: Players have to lose twice before being eliminated.

    * Round Robin: Each player competes against every other player, and the player with the most wins advances.

    Race Settings

    * Number of Races per Round: 4 races per round.

    * CC Level: 100cc unless specified in the event info

    * Items: All items allowed

    * Tracks: Circuit will be predetermined in the event details

    * Point System:

    * Use the in-game point system to determine the winner of each round.

    * Tiebreakers can be handled by an additional race or by comparing best lap times.

    * Character and Kart Selection:

    * Allow free choice of characters and karts.

    * players can switch characters and karts between races.

    * Time Limits: No time limited unless specified in the event info

    * Disconnections and Technical Issues: We highly recommend arriving at tournaments early to warm up and ensure your controller is functional. If a racer finds that their controller isn't functioning correctly, racers can request to pause for technical difficulty in the first lap of the first race. Then race will be unpaused and the racer can test their controller. Once functionality is confirmed, the race is restarted.
If a race is disrupted due to a technical issue or a disturbance at the bar, the current race will be restarted at the discretion of the race manager (usually a bartender)

    * Prizes: prizes are specified in the event info. Races with an entry fee will split winnings for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place by 50/30/20 percent of the total entry fees collected.

    Match Rules: Default rules are below. Check in the event information for any changes from default.

    * Stock: 3 stocks per player.

    * Time Limit: 7 minutes per match.

    * Items: turned off.

    * Stage Hazards: turned off.

    * Final Smash Meter: turned off.

    * Stage Selection: random Battlefield stage

    Set Length:

    * Best of 3: Early rounds.

    * Best of 5: Later rounds, such as semifinals and finals.

    Character Selection:

    * Players can change characters between matches within a set.

    Tiebreakers: In the event of a time-out, the player with the most stocks wins. If stocks are tied, the player with the least percentage damage wins. If percentage is also tied, a sudden death match may be used.

Then fighters will be unpaused and can test their controllers. Once functionality is confirmed, the fight is restarted.
